Runaway Jim: what year is this? Super cow-funk late 90s sounding section in between the verses. Build is very good. These guys mean business
Sand: Mike changes up the bassline for the jam which builds nicely to a great peak. This opening trio is super awesome
Halfway To The Moon: Page’s turn until Mike drops some bombs in the jam
Halley’s Comet: standard
Tube: more funk. Sounds sooo good straight out of the 90s again. Length isn’t too much but in this case it doesn’t matter
Possum: cool patient build
Sugar Shack: Mike’s turn (not too notable tonight though). Little trouble with the ending
Jesus Just Left Chicago: nice treat. Fiery Trey
David Bowie: nice lil intro and slow build to the set ending peak
Twist: unusual opener and the longest version since 2003. After some strange vocals the jam breaks free with some great Mike action before latching onto a catchy groove they stick with and build amazingly. It settles down again and Under Pressure gets heavily teased. Trey conjures some evil delay sounds with Page using the clav feedback. This eventually gets dissonant and Trey starts
Gotta Jibboo: great build and peak
Makisupa Policeman: hilarious kush bush wordplay. Very special version for 3.0. Again, what year is this?
Light: more superb type 2 jamming. After a while some really cool effects are used and Mike bombs away as they start building but it quickly transitions
Chalk Dust Torture: high energy type 1 rendition
Meatstick: Makisupa teases at the start of the jam before Mike once again takes over and leads into
Boogie On Reggae Woman: good choice. Mike having an all time night. More kush bush quotes
The Wedge: great showing by Trey
Slave To The Traffic Light: gorgeous patient version to close the set
Sneakin Sally Through The Alley: and the encore holds up. Vocal jam followed by an ultra funky type 2 jam with Mike keeping up his night of excellence. They find their way back to Sally to close the show. Damn
One of the best shows of 3.0 right here. I wouldn't be surprised if this is Mike’s best night ever. The tightness of the playing and the magnificent jamming is insane. If you want an early 3.0 show to listen to here ya go. This is a 9.5/10 show. Highlights are (get ready) Jim, Sand, Tube, Possum, JJLC, Bowie, Twist, Makisupa, Light, Meatstick, Boogie On, Slave, and Sneakin Sally. Balls
