SET 1: Birds of a Feather: The intro and composed section seems tentative at best and Broadway Trey with his vocals – why Trey? I would almost think singing like that would hurt his voice. I know it hurts my ears. Run of the mill jam.

Roggae: Solid, sounded very good. >

Divided Sky: Crushed, absolutely slayed!

Cities: Trey in the late 9’s – and Mike backing him with those meatballs = this must have been quite the dance party, just wish Mike was a bit louder. From here, and I realize I am likely in the minority here; this jam just gets lost in a wash of effects. It is a good jam, but I would not say it is a great jam. At the show, I bet it was amazing under the right circumstances. But those last few minutes of Trey just echoing the same piece over and over, meh – not for me sitting here at home and listening to it on LivePhish. >

Tube: Kind of a run of the mill version, didn’t do much for me. >

Taste: This version is a little loose.

About to Run: Trey gives it a proper ripping. Decent set closer.

SET 2: Mr. Completely: Some interesting effects being put to use in the early going, some odd stuff. Things really get going in the 11 minute range. The next few minutes are fantastic. Another couple minutes of some mellow stuff. The last couple of minutes is just Trey doing his best Hendrix impression. Impressive jam overall, would recommend! >

A Song I Heard the Ocean Sing: Very heavy stuff in the early going, I like it a lot. Check out Trey going off at 7:40, whew! Too bad Trey had to ADHD and go back into Mr. C, entirely unnecessary ->

Mr. Completely: Meh.

Wolfman's Brother: The rare second set placement! 126 times played in 3.0 and only 17 times has it been slotted in the second set. Decent jam although a it seems like Trey is fresh out of ideas and is strumming, and then more strumming hoping something will come to him. He does find a theme in the latter part of the eleven minute range that he rides through the end two minutes later and then… >

Ruby Waves: Good, little jam here. Nothing too crazy. Blissful peak. >

Gotta Jibboo: Standard and short. >

No Quarter: Standard. >

Possum: Standard.

ENCORE: Wilson: Standard. >

Slave to the Traffic Light: Everyone saw this coming. I will continue to chirp about this. There is no patience with this tune anymore. You have to let it breathe and build quietly. That is what Slave is all about. You can’t do that in 9 minutes.

Replay Value: Divided Sky, Cities, Mr. Completely

Summary: Set one is pretty good. I thought Divided Sky was particularly inspired and Cities while having good length doesn’t quite do it for me all the way. Would still recommend it as a highlight and one to revisit though. Tube, Taste, and About to Run seemed like they were going through the motions just a little bit. The second set outside of a strong Mr. Completely is pretty standard fare. This is a good show. I see it is rated as a 4.21 right now. I think that is very high. I would rate this as a 3.8 out of 5.
