I always wanted them to do something obscure and I called for stuff like The Dream Syndicate’s Days of Wine and Roses (which they would fucking kill btw) or The Feelies Crazy Rhythms (a New Jersey band from the late 70’s-80’s that I swear Trey was influenced by, listen to some of the jams on that album and tell me you can’t hear it), but to pull out something so obscure I wasn’t sure if it was Phish bambooziling us once again and this was all their own brilliant new material with some cleverly placed internet seeds to complete the narrative because the only review on Allmusic is a hoax one made today. In the end I think it’s legit, and how amazing is it that these lyrics put together by 4 guys who didn’t speak the same language turned out to be so damn good when translated into English for the first time? Of course on top of it all the music has been a rager. Once again, Phish conquers America...
